Choreography context :

For their last performance of the year 2015, Chandâga wanted a special choreography (which was a little late, because of the Bajirao Mastani contest). Also, in honor of their two idols (Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit), Étoile and Mouki wanted a song from each actress. It's in this context that Kathak-Nimbooda was born.
Madhuri's Kathak is from the movie Dil To Pagal Hai (1997) starring Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor. Nimbooda is from the movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) with Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai.
The story of this choreography is pretty simple : two sisters, after discovering they both had a fiancé, decide to marry the same day (Kathak). Even though one of them is pretty confident, the other one has doubts concerning her wife duties. Will the magic lemon (Nimbooda) be able to help her?

Anecdote : There's actually 8 versions of this remix. Chandâga hesitated between Nimbooda, Mere Khwabon Mein and Hum To Bhai Jaise Hain, then when the choice was made, Nimbooda was really hard to manipulate!

Anecdote II : By respect for this traditional dance that is kathak, Chandâga watched a lot of tutorials and choreographies, to learn more about mujra hands. If it's not authentic kathak, they put a lot of effort in it.

Anecdote III : the Nimbooda choreography was finalized two days before the show.

Anecdote V : The lemon used during the choreography was named "Booboo the Nimboo". It survived almost 4 months, before being replaced by "Booboo the Nimboo Jr.", for the Chandâcafé.

Song context : 

Despite promising not to fall in love, Sameer (Salman Khan) disobeys his music teacher by falling for his daughter, Nandini (Aishwarya Rai). After a not-so-serious fight with him, Nandini goes to a friend's wedding and dance there, under Vanraj's (Ajay Devgan) bewitched gaze.
Nota bene : In India, there's many superstitions. One of them is to make a garland of pepper and lemon to keep the evil eye away. It makes sense that Nandini sings about it, so she can protect her friend's couple from bad luck, but also her own sweetheart...
