Choreography context :

Pinga was the imposed song for the second round of the Bajirao Mastani contest on Bollyshake (for more information, refer to the Deewani Mastani page). This choreography had more success than Deewani Mastani, but paradoxically, less votes and likes!
On this song, Étoile was Mastani, and Mouki, Kashi Bai.

Anecdote : for the first translation of Pinga, Mouki had to translate it word by word, because there wasn't any reference translation (neither french or english) back then. Since the song was written with hindi and marathi words, she had lots of trouble with it ! Finally, this rendition sucked, and was overcriticized by customers... Fortunately, an official english translation was released a few months later!

Anecdote II : Like Nimbooda and Dola re dola, Pinga was presented at the Chandâcafé, an even 100% organized by Mouki and Étoile at their school! There was ten people in the audience, but loads of fun and love :)

Anecdote III : One of Chandāga's fans asked them to do a Pinga tutorial. It was also their 17th Vlogcember, and a video that took the longest time to shoot! However, it was a nice exercise, and a great experience!

Song context :

After Bajirao's second marriage with Mastani, it's time to celebrate Mangalagaur, a festival organized to entertain women. During Mangalagaur, women play games, tease each other and complain about their in-laws. Pinga is, by the way, one of those games, but also a dance style!

Isn't it a perfect occasion for Kashi Bai and Mastani to cross the T's and dots the I's ?

Anecdote : Pinga has been compared to Dola re Dola (Devdas - 2002) Sanjay Leela Bhansali's biggest hit, and, therefore, strongly criticized. Indeed, costumes, background, actresses's performance and emotion werent considered as good as SLB usually does.
